I Paid a Bribe (IPAB) is a virtual interactive platform used by citizens to report cases of bribes paid thereby fighting against corruption in the country. This project is implemented by ActionAid and we developed the website of IPAB on top of Drupal 7 and the corresponding android mobile application.
ActionAid wanted an interactive integrated platform to communicate to masses about the trends of corruption using various medium such as websites, email, phones and sms. To achieve this, we integrated Drupal 7 with other services like MailChimp (mass emailing), a native android application where we created REST API to synchronize data from the website on to the android application and vice versa.
The SMS platform was implemented by registering a short code on all telecom networks such that users can send simple formatted text message. The data via sms was aggregated on a separate platform accessible outside of the website and the mobile application.
This project was developed in 2015 and is still being maintained and improved by us.
